Walking Lunge

A unilateral movement that builds leg strength and corrects side-to-side imbalances.

How to perform

  1. 1Hold a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
  2. 2Step forward into a lunge until both knees reach around 90 degrees.
  3. 3Drive through the front heel to bring the back leg through.
  4. 4Continue alternating legs as you walk forward.

Common mistakes

×Letting the front knee collapse inward.
×Taking steps too short and stressing the knee.
×Leaning the torso too far forward.
