RYDERWEAR REVIEW

5 min read · Updated June 2026 · Based on real use

Ryderwear is an Australian gym brand built around one idea: clothing optimised for actually training in. After living in a few of their tees and hoodies, here is my honest take, including the two pieces I reach for again and again.

4.4/5
The verdict Gym gear that is genuinely optimised for training. The Dynamic tee and Restore hoodie are standouts, and the whole range suits everyone from the average gym goer to the bodybuilder.

What is Ryderwear?

Ryderwear is an Australian gym and lifting apparel brand. Where some brands lean into lifestyle and street style, Ryderwear is unapologetically built for the gym. The cuts, the fabrics, and the fits are all designed with training in mind, which is exactly what you want when the clothes are going to spend their life under a barbell. I have a couple of their tees and hoodies in rotation.

The Dynamic tee: my go-to

The Dynamic tee is the best thing I own from Ryderwear and it has become my go-to gym tee. It is a comfortable fit, perfectly oversized in that way that actually looks good rather than just baggy, and it hangs really well. Best of all it is super lightweight, so it never feels like it is clinging or weighing you down mid-session.

It is a lightweight polyester-cotton blend cut as an oversized fit, and it nails the brief. If you want one gym tee that looks the part and disappears on your body while you train, this is the one I would point you to.

The Restore hoodie

The Restore hoodie is the perfect functional winter hoodie. It is warm without being heavy or restrictive, and crucially it is easy to move in, which a lot of hoodies fail at. Plenty of gym hoodies look good but feel like a straitjacket the moment you try to actually train or warm up in them. This one lets you move.

For cold-morning sessions or wearing to and from the gym, it does exactly what you want. Warm, comfortable, and functional rather than just a fashion piece.

Quality and fit

Across everything I own, the quality has held up. I have not found any issues with Ryderwear gear, no quick wear-out, no fit problems, nothing that has disappointed me. For an Australian brand at a fair price point, that consistency is worth a lot. Free shipping kicks in over $120, and they run a 30-day return policy, so trying a piece is low risk.

Pros
  • Clothing genuinely optimised for training
  • Dynamic tee is a perfect oversized gym tee
  • Restore hoodie is warm and easy to move in
  • Quality has held up with no issues
  • Australian brand, fair pricing
Cons
  • Gym-focused rather than everyday casual
  • Best deals are usually on sale, not full price

Who it is for

Ryderwear suits everyone from the average gym goer through to the bodybuilder. Their clothing is optimised for gym days, so whether you are just getting into training or you are chasing a serious physique, the gear is built for what you are doing. If you want clothes that look good and perform in the gym, it is an easy recommendation.

The verdict

Ryderwear delivers exactly what it sets out to: gym gear that is optimised for training and holds up. The Dynamic tee is a genuine go-to and the Restore hoodie is a brilliant functional winter layer. The quality has been consistent and the fits are spot on for the gym. If you want apparel built for training rather than just looking the part, Ryderwear is well worth it. A solid 4.4 out of 5.
